My blog started as shameless self-promotion about three years ago.  It was the last hundred bucks I had.  All I really owned in the world was my musical stage name:  Pauly Deathwish.

As my music career fell apart, I dabbled in art and different pursuits.  But my passion had been cinema for some time. And so, like my hero Jean-Luc Godard, I hoped to be a film critic…and then someday direct films.  I’m still on the film critic part 🙂

My advice to new bloggers:

Connect with other writers.  Build friendships.  You never know the places all around the world where you will make new friends!
