Trump’s strike on Iran was not brilliant.
It was the equivalent of Ronald Reagan bombing Angola because Angola represented a threat to the apartheid state of South Africa.
Netanyahu is the modern P.W. Botha.
Rather than addressing apartheid—rather than making sure women and children in Gaza don’t starve to death (in Trump’s case)—,had Reagan been more concerned with protecting the apartheid regime of Botha in South Africa by bombing South Africa’s enemies, that would be equivalent to what Trump has done by bombing Iran.
If, after Reagan’s hypothetical bombing of Angola, Ronnie had gone on national TV and intoned, “God bless South Africa,” then Reagan would have done something a bit like what Trump has just done.
A true leader—of STRENGTH—does not allow himself to be pressured into a stupid move.
A leader who is ACTUALLY in control can do what he wants to do.
Trump obviously heard the voices of Tucker Carlson, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Thomas Massie, Matt Gaetz, Alex Jones, Steve Bannon, and others, but he ignored those voices.
Trump obeyed the gigantic AIPAC voice.
Why?
What do we owe Israel?
What does he owe Israel?
