I agree with about 99% of what Trump (and Musk) has done in the first two weeks of this administration, but I don’t agree with this.
In what sense is kissing Israel’s ass an “America-first” policy?
Why is Trump trying to sell genocide and ethnic cleansing as if it were a used car?
Trump must cease covering for the murderous regime of Benjamin Netanyahu.
Trump must stop providing weapons to the Pol Pot of the Middle East.
We know our history.
Whether it’s 47,000 dead, or 60,000 dead (the new number with missing presumed dead), Israel’s actions are akin to the infamous Cambodian autogenocide.
But it’s worse than that (and far more banal).
About 75% of the Mosques in Gaza were destroyed in the past 16 months.
Half the population of Gaza is under the age of 18 (i.e. children).
The proportion of men to women in Gaza is about even.
Even if we are conservative and say that Israel killed only 47,000 people in the past 16 months in Gaza, chances are that 23,500 of them were children.
Furthermore, of the remaining 23,500 dead, chances are that 11,750 were women.
Of the remaining 11,750 men, an unknown number were HAMAS radicals.
This was not a “brave” operation by any stretch of the imagination.
This was almost completely the non-stop aerial bombardment of a densely-populated urban area in an attempt to break the will of Gaza’s people.
Frankly, their will never broke.
And after being subjected to a kind of “justice” which is specifically PROSCRIBED in that “Bible” that Netanyahu so likes to quote (it’s “an eye for an eye”, not “47 eyes for every eye”), the United States under Trump now wants to be a party to dispossessing the Palestinians of that which they hold most dear and for which they have endured: their land.
That is not the same America which defeated Hitler.
That is, rather, an America which would welcome Hitler to the White House and call him an “honored guest”.
If nuking Hiroshima and Nagasaki involved some fuzzy logic, then embracing purveyors of crimes against humanity involves a complete lack of logic.
What does Israel have that the United States needs?
Nothing.
What happened to “this is not our war” (Trump’s description of the conflict in Palestine just a week ago)???
The worst part of this press conference is the squirmy doublespeak about Gaza being inhabited by “people from all over the world”.
Couple that with Trump’s description of the land as “the Riviera”.
And go back 10 months to Jared Kushner’s admission that Gaza’s land could be very valuable.
Trump haters are going to immediately pounce on this.
This press conference, in their minds, will have been a telegraphing of the joint Israeli-American plan: to make the Gaza Strip into a pleasure resort (replete with golf courses and casinos).
And who can blame them?
That is exactly what it sounds like Trump is proposing.
Once again, these are not American ideas of which to be proud.
Netanyahu was among the first two world leaders to congratulate Biden on his 2020 “win” (along with loser Boris Johnson).
Why is Trump so eager to please Netanyahu and the State of Israel?
Did Jeffrey Epstein work for Mossad?
If so, does Israel have compromising information about Trump as a result of Epstein’s activities?
What else could explain such a weak, pathetic, moronic disposition on the part of Donald Trump as regards Israel?
